Description
Villa Majestatis is located very close to Scopello in a peaceful rural area of north-western Sicily with a mountain backdrop and stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea. The newly built property is unique in the area and features mostly all-white furnishings and a modern Italian SMEG kitchen with splashes of local pastels, handcrafted tiles and vases. There is a yoga terrace with pergola for relaxing or exercising at the bottom of the garden which extends approximately 100m beyond the pool facing the villa towards the ocean. Two large terraces to the right and left of the villa mean that each of the three en-suite bedrooms can be accessed separately from above. Large floor to ceiling sliding windows in the large airy living room open onto the ground floor terrace, swimming pool and permanent BBQ area.
The villa is located 5 minutes from the small and picturesque village of Scopello, famous for its turquoise waters and fish restaurants. Just 20 minutes away is the beautiful town of Castellammare del Golfo, boasting a magnificent marina promenade set in ancient Sicilian architecture, offering every type of marine activity from boat trips to deep sea fishing, up to to the rental of jet skis and boats, always without a licence. In the Sicilian capital Palermo, less than an hour's drive away, you can enjoy the sights and sounds of the old Arab quarter, stroll along the elegant Via della Libertà shopping boulevard and round off the day at one of the city's many fine restaurants or spend the evening at the theater or the opera. Places to visit include Ragusa, Siracusa and Noto.
There are a few restaurants and bistros nearby in Scopello and a marina promenade with bars, restaurants, bistros and cafés/ice cream parlors in Castellammare del Golfo (8 km, 20 minutes by car). The Sicilian capital Palermo is about an hour's drive away, with everything a big city has to offer in terms of wine, restaurants, clubs, discos and other entertainment. There are excellent fish and seafood restaurants all over Sicily with excellent local wines (particularly Vini Tonnino is to be recommended!). La Tonnara, Booga Wooga and Luxor restaurants in Castellammare del Golfo are a must!
